I started blogging in December 2019 while doing my MCA (Master’s in Computer Applications).
My dream was simple: earn money online to cover college fees, family expenses, and daily needs.
But the journey was not easy.
I ran 3 different websites and gave up on all of them because I couldn’t get AdSense approval.
I received 4 privacy policy violation warnings and 20+ low-value content rejections from Google AdSense.
It took me over 2 years (until February 22, 2022) to finally get my first approval.
Every rejection hurt deeply because blogging was my only hope at that time.

Why Google Rejects AdSense Applications on Blogger & WordPress (2026 Fix).
Google doesn’t publicly share a fixed checklist, but from my experience and recent approvals, these are the must-have things:
1. A PROPER WEBSITE ADDRESS (DOMAIN).
You can use a free Blogspot domain (yourname.blogspot.com) — it still gets approved.
But custom domains (.com, .in, .org, .net) get approved faster and look more professional.
Tip: If you’re serious, buy a custom domain right away. It helps a lot.
2. GOOD SEO SETUP (EVEN WITHOUT TRAFFIC).
You don’t need thousands of visitors, but your site must look “search-engine friendly”:
Verify your site in Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Submit your sitemap to Search Console.
Create proper meta titles and meta descriptions for every post.
Add a clean robots.txt file (Blogger has a default one — don’t mess it up).
Request indexing for all your important pages.
Note: Website loading speed also plays an important role in SEO.
So, keep your website loading very quickly — you can do this with some simple steps, like uploading low-size JPG photos (low MB) in your posts, disabling unnecessary plugins, and selecting lightweight themes.
Google PageSpeed Insights is a tool that helps you easily check your website’s speed and SEO details, so use it properly, man!
3. USE A CLEAN, RESPONSIVE, MODERN TEMPLATE.
Never use old, heavy, or broken templates.
Choose a simple, fast-loading, mobile-friendly Blogger template.
Avoid templates with too many ads, pop-ups, or unnecessary scripts — they can cause rejection.

4. PERFECT NAVIGATION & ESSENTIAL PAGES.
Your site must be easy to use and trustworthy. Add these pages (very important!):
- Home
- About Us
- Contact Us
- Privacy Policy (must mention Google AdSense & cookies)
- Disclaimer (recommended)
- Terms of Service (optional but good)
Also:
Create a clear menu with categories.
Add social media links (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
Fix all broken/dead links (use the free tool: siteliner.com).
5. WRITE UNIQUE, HIGH-QUALITY, HELPFUL ARTICLES.
This is the most important part!
Publish at least 30–40 articles before applying (I had 37 posts when I got approved).
Each article should be 800–2500 words.
Write 100% original content (no copying, no AI spam).
Use low-competition keywords (research with free tools like Google Keyword Planner).
Add relevant images with alt text and captions.
Use proper headings (H1, H2, H3).
Add internal links (to your other posts) and outbound links (to good authority sites).
Extra Important Checks Before Applying
PageSpeed Insights score: >50 on mobile, >80 on desktop.
All articles must be indexed in Google (check in Search Console).
No grammar or spelling mistakes (use Grammarly).
Site must be mobile-friendly (test in Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test).
Share your posts on social media to get some real visitors (30–50 daily is good, but not mandatory).
When Should You Apply for AdSense?
Apply only when:
You have 30–40 high-quality posts.
All essential pages are live.
Your site looks professional and loads fast.
Domain is at least 1–3 months old (a custom domain helps more).
You have some basic traffic (even 10–50 visitors/day is fine).
If you do everything correctly, you can get approval within hours or 1–2 days — just like I did!
